A wall made of SEMBLA® Blocks consists of dry stacked hollow blocks, which are joined together by connecting elements. A wall can consist of 1 to 3 wall shells, which can be filled with any insulating material after construction.
SEMBLA blocks are made of a purely mineral and cement-free concrete.
The underlying grid of the SEMBLA® blocks is 12.5 x 12.5 x 12.5 cm. Based on this, there are 4 different block sizes, each in two heights - half and full. The smallest half-height block is 25 (L) x 12.5 (W) x 12.5 (h) cm, the largest full-height block is 62.5 (L) x 12.5 (W) x 25 (h) cm. This results in shell wall thicknesses of 12.5, 25 or 37.5 cm, as well as opening dimensions according to the basic grid.
In general, all rectangular floor plans can be implemented in existing and new buildings up to building class 4 (13 m from the top edge of the foundation). Due to the number of wall shells, the masonry can meet various structural and insulation requirements and is suitable for interior and exterior walls. The fact that it can be dismantled means that not only temporary building solutions are possible, but also long-term construction projects. In addition to single-storey buildings, commercial buildings or multi-storey residential buildings can also be realized.
You can expect competitive costs, comparable to those of conventional building construction. In addition, the reusability and take-back guarantee of our system elements result in value-preserving potential and cost optimization. For exact prices, please send us your specific inquiry.
In principle, the SEMBLA® masonry system can be used like a conventional wall system. Details and examples of connection solutions can be found in the technical manual.
Cables and pipes can be laid in the masonry or preferably behind the wall coverings, which are installed as part of the interior work (installation level).
The tongue and groove system of the connecting elements results in a grid of flexible connection points for façades and interior wall cladding on the exterior and interior walls. In addition to conventional solutions (ETICS, plaster, plasterboard, etc.), which can only be dismantled to a limited extent, there are also possibilities for modular and recyclable systems.
The SEMBLA® masonry system is a dry stacked masonry system made of hollow blocks. This results in the need for sealing (air and moisture), e.g. with a combination of curtain wall & diffusion-open underlay membrane, as well as an adaptive vapor barrier in the interior. In addition, solutions with OSB, plasterboard, wood fiber or clay building boards are of course also possible. The insulation is installed as core insulation in the wall shells.
Buildings can be implemented by means of approval in individual cases (ZiE) or with a project-related building permit (vBg). The general building approval is currently being processed. The necessary material and component tests have been carried out. We will be happy to assist you with the application process.
We have created a software solution that calculates the respective brick constellation in the masonry bond based on your floor plan, so that no resources are wasted here either.
